University of Rochester Medicine Thompson Health will host a Flu Shot Clinic at its Newark Urgent Care location, 800 W. Miller St. in Newark, from 3 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 14.
The vaccine will be administered to those ages 9 and older, with a high-dose option for those 65 and up. This high-dose vaccine contains additional antigen designed to create a stronger immune response.
The flu shots are free to patients with insurance (patients must present an insurance card at the time of the visit). The self-pay cost for those without insurance is $45, and $80 for the high-dose vaccine (cash, check, MasterCard, or Visa accepted).
